As with any web application we rely on a set of controls to make our sites easier to use and more powerful to the page visitors. When it comes to image uploading, cropping and resizing using a custom Asp.net Image Editor Web Control.

I have used several image uploader controls and they had some but not all of the features I was needing to give my asp.net website that extra punch they deserve. I was able to upload, crop and resize images with very few postbacks in a seperate customizable modal window.

It is customizable without source code by editing the CSS of the window elements, unlike the some of the Flash controls available. It is very affordable, $19 for the control and $69 for the control with Source Code. I have spent dozens of hours trying to create similar functionality without success. Click Browse to select your Adventure Image file. Image must be a .jpg, .gif or .png without transparency. Click Upload to Save and Edit the file. When finished click Submit when finished uploading.
